It is that time of the year again where there is nothing better than relaxing on the porch with a glass of your favorite drink. Recently I tried out a new cocktail and I absolutely love it!
Blackcurrant Prosecco with Blueberries
- 12 blueberries
- 0.2 liters of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOCG
- 2 peppermint leafs
- A shot of blackcurrant syrup
- Crushed Ice
- 1 small wooden skewer
Stick 1 blueberry onto the far end of the skewer. Add 1 peppermint leaf and 1 more blueberry. Stick 1 more peppermint leaf and 3 more blueberries onto the skewer. Put a little bit of crushed ice in a martini glass. Fill the glass with Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and a shot of blackcurrant syrup. Stir the drink. Put the skewer into the glass as well as the remaining blueberries. Enjoy!
If you like your drink sweeter then simply add more blackcurrant syrup to it. Make sure to use a Prosecco di Valdobbiadene that has lots of bubbles. I have prepared the same drink with Creme de Cassis instead of blackcurrant syrup and did not really like it. Only use Creme de Cassis if you want a stronger drink.
Blackcurrant Prosecco with Blueberries is best served as aperitif.
Should you decide to try this drink then please let me know what you think of it.
